Kacia (Peer Mentor)

Meet Kacia

Kacia is a peer mentor at The Union for Contemporary Art. Her journey with The Union just began in the spring of 2022! After going through a creative youth program in her teen years, Kacia fell in love with the arts and mentoring. After getting involved with the Omaha community and participating in many shows, murals, and events throughout Omaha- she started to develop an artistic image and voice. Considering herself a mixed media artist, she covers issues such as body image, sexuality, gender identity, and how mental health can change someone’s perception of the world in her art. Kacia hopes that her time at The Union will help youth explore their artistic voices and let them know that art is what THEY make it.
